Where do we start? To those who know us very well, know how unusual our love story is. We can't even remember how we first met, but we remember how it all started. We've been roommates for the last seven years and from there we got to see each other's good sides as well as each other's crazy sides. As roommates, we enjoyed eating out, hosting get together, playing video games as well as staying active. Our first memories together are mostly watching Friends, StarCraft game nights, as well as skipping gym to go on hikes or nearby restaurants. We eventually started attending events together, seeing movies together, and enjoying a day in the city together. One evening after work, we went to our favorite sushi restaurant and had a long walk at the beach. We had a great conversation and decided not to end the evening yet. For some weird unknown reason, we decided to watch Land Before Time. After the movie, we had a long stare at each other and started talking about each other's feelings and how complicated our situation will be. At two o'clock in the morning, we decided to end our evening and sleep through it. And before coming to work that morning, we became a couple.
It was a regular Tuesday for us, but Nick started his day with a plan! We started our early morning routine as we prepare for work. Nick was dropped off at the bus stop but instead of catching a bus to the city, he took Uber instead and had breakfast in Castro Valley. With three hours to spare before the jeweler opens, Nick had a good breakfast, took BART, and had a nice long walk to Dublin Hacienda. He hung out at the bookstore nearby and walked in at Baron's as soon as it opened. Nick made a day out of it and came home at his usual time in the evening.
It was a lovely morning! There's no better day than to make pancakes together and enjoy breakfast at the deck. As we are about to sip the last drop of our coffee, Nick started reminiscing about our adventures together for the last two and a half years - our travels as well as our favorite times together. He ended up going back to the deck that we both built and emphasized the roller coaster we have gone through building it. We shared a lot of frustrations, some tears and anxiety, and small wins for the day that led us to countless great memories together. From there, he pulled out a small box out of his jacket and knelt down on one knee saying the words, "will you marry me?"
We want you to be able to really enjoy our wedding day, feeling truly present and in the moment with us. We've hired an amazing wedding photographer and videographer who will be capturing the way the wedding looks — and we're inviting each of you to sit back, relax, and just enjoy how the wedding feels. We're respectfully asking that everyone consider leaving all cameras out and cell phones on silent during the ceremony. Of course, we will happy to share our wedding photos and highlights with you once available afterward!
We also advise all our guests to arrive 20 minutes before the ceremony to give time for parking, seating, etc. If running late, our coordinator will have the guests wait at the lobby until wedding party have walked down the aisle. Thank you for understanding!
